Breakfast was again perfect this morning! Luggage was collected by the Hansa hotel staff and Bruce was ready and waiting with our private coach for our 8am departure. Driving north along the Skeleton Coast we stopped at a ship wreck on route to the town of Henties Bay. At Henties Bay we offered a restroom break while Bruce filled up the coach with diesel at around 90 pence per litre. Turning inland we drove across a bleak landscape, passing the Bramsberg Mountains and the Spitskoppe Mountain on route. Shortly after the town of Uis we stopped at the River Ugab to enjoy our lunch snacks. A few souvenir hand made dolls were purchased from the local Herrero women here, and we treated the local children to some small gifts of pens, writing books, toys and sweets. After lunch we continued on, by-passing the town of Khorixas as we approached our destination, the Vingerklip Lodge. By now the scenery has changed dramatically, with huge rock terraces and formations. A nice cool drink greets us on arrival at Vingerklip and we're soon settling into our cottages and exploring the gardens, swimming pool, and the bar! The waterhole delivers almost immediately as we see Kudu, Chacma Baboons and Warthog!
