Guayaquil city tour

Added 25 Oct 2014

Our local guides Rocio and Christian escort a Guayaquil City Tour this morning. First stop are the administrative buildings and town hall, before a stroll towards Centenary Park, famous for a small population of Land Iguanas. Some iguanas are on the grass but many are sitting high in the trees and we warn guests not to stand underneath as you can receive a surprise shower if one decides to pee! Luckily we all escape on this occasion! From the park we visit the nearby cathedral before a walk along the Malecon, an award-winning waterfront development featuring boardwalks, restaurants, shops and other attractions, and all overlooking the Guaya River. The Botanical Gardens section proves very popular.

A free afternoon at the hotel to rest and prepare ourselves for Galapagos tomorrow. We have an early start but we are all very excited!
