A leisurely departure from Vingerklip this morning as we head north to Etosha National Park. On route we stop in the small town of Outjo. Here Richard and Dawn recommend their favourite lunch cafe, the Outjo Bakery. The service is leisurely but the food is great. Unfortunately there's also a rather nice souvenir shop next door. This makes Richard's plan to depart fairly promptly rather difficult (totally impossible in fact). Anyway in due course we are driving north towards the Andersson's Gate of Etosha. At the gate we complete entry formalities and continue to our accommodations at Okaukuejo. We explore the park on route, and it's not long before we're viewing wildlife ... Springbok, Blackfaced Impala and Zebra is a good start! Arriving at Okaukuejo we're met by Kate, the resort manager, and her team quickly get us settled into our rooms. Then it's off to the water hole for viewings of Giraffe, Oryx and Black Rhino. This is an amazing first day in Etosha!
