Arriving in Costa Rica!

Added 18 Mar 2012

A very early start for one and all. We report to Terminal Five at Heathrow for our 6.20am British Airways flight to Madrid. As expected Richard gets inspected going through Heathrow security. He's carrying a flight case full of individual radios (65 in fact). These consist of a receiver and ear piece for each guest and a couple of transmitters for our local guides. The radios enhance the quality of commentary on our guided excursions and are well worth the effort of getting through security! Our flight to Madrid is on time and we connect to our Iberia service to San Jose, Costa Rica. Eleven hours later we're landing, and we make it through immigration and customs (where Richard's radios don't even register a glance). Our private transfer to the Marriott Costa Rica Hotel takes all of 5 minutes and we're all pleased to settle in and freshen up after a long day. Dinner is served al fresco next to the pool. Dining tables are beautifully presented and Richard asks for relatively prompt service which is delivered perfectly. Tea and Costa Rican coffee round off the day before we all head to our beds for a well earned rest. Sleep well everyone!
