Peru 2019

18 day escorted tour from £5,250pp

Following highly-acclaimed tours in 2013 and 2014, and a sold-out 2018 tour, we are delighted to offer one final opportunity to join Richard and Dawn on their personally escorted 18-day luxury Peru tour in Aug/Sep 2019. Due to forward commitments, this will be our last escorted Peru tour!

We'll depart on 30th August 2019 using the direct, non-stop flight from Gatwick and spend the first 2-nights in Lima, which has the most wonderful colonial architecture and, apart from being Peru's capital city, is also the gastronomic capital of South America, so we should expect some world-class food. Our next stop is 3-nights in the "white city" of Arequipa, so called for the colour of the volcanic rock used as a local building material. One of Arequipa's highlights is definitely the 16th century Santa Catalina Monastery, which we'll visit with local guides.

From Arequipa we'll proceed to Puno to spend 3-nights in a luxury hotel located on its own private island on Lake Titicaca. We'll visit the famous floating islands of Uros and also explore the nearby Llachon Peninsula. In Cusco we stay 4-nights at the luxurious Palacio del Inka Hotel, ideally located within walking distance of many of the city's amazing visitor sites. Our final 4-nights is spent surrounded by the incredible scenery of the Sacred Valley. During our time here, we'll visit several historic sites including Machu Picchu, which is truly remarkable.

Furlongs tours are for the discerning traveller and our Peru 2019 itinerary is no exception. You’ll stay in great locations, experience wonderful hospitality, and enjoy a wide range of excursions and activities, all included in your holiday price. Proprietors, Richard and Dawn Furlong will personally escort the tour. They have designed and escorted holidays since the 1980’s, with considerable experience in South America, including Argentina, Chile, Ecuador and Galápagos, and Peru. Meticulous planning and an enduring sense of fun sets us apart. You’ll enjoy the relaxed, informal tour style, while benefitting from impeccable behind-the-scenes organisation.

If you fancy a spectacular Peru tour, in unashamed comfort, this is the one for you!

Update: Apologies, this 2019 tour is now sold out. We will continue to take enquiries in case of cancellations, and may even be tempted to run an additional tour if there's sufficient demand, so do get in touch if you are interested.
