Join us at the Premier Inn Heathrow for a comfortable overnight stay. Your hotel room and car parking for the duration of the holiday is included in the tour price. If you don't require the Heathrow Package, simply join us at the airport on the 12th May, and we'll deduct £100 per couple or per single from your holiday cost. If you would prefer to fly from another UK airport, please contact us.

Sat 12 May 2018 - Arrive Amsterdam

Our escorted flight from Heathrow departs late morning, and takes approximately one hour rto reach Amsterdam. We are met by local guides, and transfer to our luxury river cruise ship, Uniworld’s 5-star River Queen. Time to settle in before enjoying our first dinner in the ship's restaurant.

An exclusive Morning with the Masters at the renowned Hermitage Amsterdam, home to more than three million works of art and cultural artifacts. Plus an Amsterdam canal cruise or a Do as the Locals Do city walking tour. Captain’s Welcome Dinner this evening.

An escorted walking tour of Cologne including a visit to its magnificent twin spired, gothic cathedral. This afternoon, taste some local Kölsch beer, or visit the city’s renowned Roman Museum.

Tue 15 May 2018 - Koblenz

First established as a roman military post in 8 BC, Koblenz is perhaps better known as the location where the Rhine and Moselle meet. We’ll discover the city’s history on an exclusive walking tour, or you may join a Go Active bicycle ride.

Wed 16 May 2018 - Cochem

This morning, a walking tour through the narrow streets and twisty alleys of historic Cochem, famous for half-timbered houses, its market-place, town walls and medieval gates. You’ll also visit the magnificent Reichsburg Castle, which dominates the landscape. Alternatively, enjoy a wine tasting in the pretty village of Ediger-Eller, or a Go Active vineyard hike!

Thu 17 May 2018 - Cruising the Moselle

A morning tour of Trier before continuing our cruise along the Moselle. Trier was an important trading city for centuries, and there are impressive Roman remains found here, notably a spectacular fortified gate in the town walls, and the ruins of Roman Imperial Baths.

A guided tour of Luxembourg City, or an excursion to the tiny wine village of Perl, with a visit to Villa Borg and to the beautiful horseshoe bend in the nearby Saar river.

Bernkastel is a well-known wine growing centre on the Moselle River. Enjoy a walking discovery tour here, with a visit and tasting at the awardwinning Dr Pauly-Bergweiler’s wine estate, or Go Active with a bicycle ride along the banks of the Moselle.

Join an escorted walking discovery tour of Speyer, one of Germany’s oldest cities, or uncover the mystery surrounding the art of making vinegar on a guided tour of the Doktorenhof Vinegar Farm. You’ll explore candlelit rooms where the vinegar ferments and matures in 100-year-old barrels!

Switzerland’s third-most-populous city, Basel is located on the Rhine, where the Swiss, French and German borders meet. The city is known for its internationally renowned museums, and is home to the oldest university of the Swiss Confederation. Subject to final flight schedules, we plan to spend the morning in Basel, before transferring to the nearby airport for the flight home.
